Meet and Greet or Curbside? Choosing Your Pearson Pickup

One is calmer, the other is faster. Which is right depends almost entirely on how much you are carrying.

Airport

Meet and greet, in practice

The chauffeur parks, walks into the terminal and waits in the arrivals area holding a name board. They meet you as you come through, take the luggage, and walk you to the vehicle in the car park.

This is the right choice for first-time visitors, for anyone with children, for elderly passengers, for a group with a lot of luggage, and for any occasion where the passenger should not have to think. It is our default.

Curbside, in practice

The chauffeur waits in the vehicle and pulls up to the arrivals curb when you text that you are outside. You get the vehicle description and plate by message as you clear baggage.

This is faster for a single traveller with a carry-on who knows Pearson well. It is worth knowing that the arrivals curb is actively managed — vehicles cannot sit and wait — so the timing depends on you being genuinely ready.

How to choose in ten seconds

Count the bags. One or two, no children, familiar with the airport: curbside. Anything more than that: meet and greet, and enjoy not carrying your own suitcase across a car park at midnight.

For clients you are hosting, meet and greet every time. Someone standing with a name board when a visitor walks into a strange country is worth more than the vehicle they are walked to.

Travelling to Toronto, or out of it?

Most trips that need a chauffeur also need a flight, a hotel or a car at the other end. BookingWorldwide.net covers all three — useful for wedding guests flying in, corporate teams heading to a conference, and anyone building a trip around the ride we are providing.

Straight answers

Frequently asked

Does meet and greet cost extra?

Not with us — it is included, along with the terminal parking it requires. Some operators charge for it, so it is worth asking whoever you book.

How will I recognise my chauffeur?

By the name board with your name on it, in the arrivals area. Their mobile number is also on your confirmation, so you can call or text at any point.

Can I switch to curbside on the day?

Yes. Text the chauffeur and they will meet you at the curb instead. It is easier to switch that direction than the other, since they may already be parked and walking in.
