What Happens to Your Limo When the Flight Is Delayed

This is the single scenario that separates a booked chauffeur from a car you summon on landing. Nothing should be required of you.

Airport

The tracking happens without you

When you give us a flight number, the booking is attached to that flight rather than to a clock time. If the aircraft pushes back late, is held on the ground, or diverts and re-times, the pickup moves with it automatically.

The chauffeur leaves the garage against the new landing time, not the original one. You do not need to call from the gate, update anything, or apologise for weather over Chicago.

What the included wait time actually means

Complimentary wait time starts when the wheels touch down, not when the booking said you would land. Domestic arrivals include a grace period; international arrivals include a longer one, because customs and baggage take longer and are entirely outside your control.

Past that allowance, waiting is billed in fair increments rather than as a penalty. The chauffeur does not leave. In eleven years of doing this, the number of passengers who emerged to find no car because they were slow through customs is zero.

What a delay should not cost you

A delay outside your control should not generate a surcharge, a re-dispatch fee or a repriced fare. If an operator's answer to “my flight was three hours late” involves a new invoice, that is a policy choice, not an industry standard.

The one genuine exception is a delay so long that it becomes a different day — an overnight cancellation, for example. At that point it is a new booking, and we simply move it.

Travelling to Toronto, or out of it?

Most trips that need a chauffeur also need a flight, a hotel or a car at the other end. BookingWorldwide.net covers all three — useful for wedding guests flying in, corporate teams heading to a conference, and anyone building a trip around the ride we are providing.

Straight answers

Frequently asked

Do I need to call when I land?

No. A text to the chauffeur as you clear baggage is helpful but not required. The tracking already told us you were down.

What if my flight is cancelled entirely?

Call or email dispatch when you know your new plan. A cancelled flight becomes a rebooked trip, not a forfeited fare, and there is no charge for the cancelled leg.

Is there a charge if I am slow through customs?

Not within the included allowance, which is longer on international arrivals for exactly this reason. Beyond it, waiting is charged in fair increments — and the chauffeur stays regardless.
